I know some of you may be thinking, "ok James and Tucker - big deal. You're rated five starts on Facebook, Yelp, and Google- so what? What makes you so special?!"
And the answer is... not much. :-)
But we do, do great work here in Middle Tennessee and would love to share the pudding with you here!
Here at Nashville Lawn and Order, our professional and trusted team provides storm clean-up, tree removal, landscaping, lawn care, patio build, deck build, and other custom handyman projects. We currently have over 10 5-star reviews on Facebook, Yelp, and Google and have had a steady stream of referral clients since we opened our doors back in 2020. We do not say this to brag (ok maybe a little), but to share with you more about our company, what we do, and how we got here!
A little bit of background on us. We discovered the passion for this work during the Nashville Storms of 2019 and 2020. Founders, James Fentress and Tucker Umberger, realized just how many people needed these services and could not sit back without lending a hand. Our company takes great pride in our city (#Nashvillestrong) and try to show that in both our work ethic and outstanding customer service. We are very blessed and happy to have the opportunity to expand our services throughout Middle Tennessee.
We are committed to not only rebuilding our beautiful city of Nashville and the surrounding areas, but giving you satisfaction and pride in your own home (or deck, or yard). That homey feeling, is what we aim for. Here is what sets us apart as your top-rated building and landscaping company:
1. Our Attention to Detail and Craftsmanship
Our team makes sure all the T’s are crossed and I’s are dotted. We do this for safety concerns, of course; one misplaced screw in the deck could cause structural concerns down the road. There are strict standards we uphold for both safety and quality assurance - and review these with the State often! But we also take into account all the details you, as the client, mention. Because the job really is in the details.
If we don’t accomplish your requests and expectations, the lawn or deck project isn’t finished. Every piece of information discussed between our team and the client is valuable to us. No matter how “small”. Here is what Jayna of Antioch had to say:
"10+ stars to rate my experience! My experience with Tucker & Jamie was phenomenal. I cannot say enough great things about Nashville Lawn and Order! Tucker & Jamie were incredible to work with. These men are VERY knowledgeable, experienced, kind-hearted, fair, communicative, reliable, professional, and trustworthy. Their integrity is refreshing, their quality of work is amazing, and their wisdom, insight, "ways to save $$$, without slacking on quality/value" was relieving, and their expertise and service is invaluable."
2. We Listen to the Customer’s Needs and Wants
To piggy-back off our detail mindfulness, we want to reiterate that we hold your ideas and opinions highly. Of course, as professionals, we provide our expertise and experience into the conversation. We're the muscle - you're the brains! We know that it is not OUR home and ultimately not our lifestyle to consider.
Frankly, sometimes we do have to say when something is impossible to accomplish, laws of physics and all. :-) But most of the time, as the cliché goes, “the customer knows best.”
Our clients will be looking at and living with their new custom deck or their new landscape, so we want them to smile rather than groan. The best way to achieve this goal is to listen carefully to the customer’s needs and wants. We consider how you use the space and what kind of upkeep you are looking for. All things we go over in the consultation and walk-through to get the best idea and plan moving forward.
Victor from Brentwood, Tennessee details his experience:
“Tucker and his crew at Nashville Lawn & Order are SO good at what they do. They walk into any situation and use their empathy and understanding to hear what you need accomplished and then they formulate a plan and get to work while keeping you in the loop from the start of the process until the job is done. They do quality work and take each individual situation into account. These guys aren't only good at what they do... they're just good dudes who are ready to help. I cannot recommend Nashville Lawn & Order more! Thanks for the great work guys, five stars!"
3. We Have In-House Designers
Ok so this is something we did not know when starting our business. Most companies go by templates and pre-measured supplies. This may be because the contractors have limits themselves or to increase production - however this just means everyone ends up getting the same old thing! We say, leave the cookie cutting for holiday baking season.
To be honest, not all builders can be designers and not all designers can be builders- and we surely do not fault anyone for this. However, we have hand-crafted our team to have a mixture of both. We do not outsource any component because we know things get lost in the shuffle. Each client works with both the actual designer and builder of their project to ensure communication is crystal clear. Here is RJ of Nashville, Tennessee to explain more:
"Nashville Lawn and Order were great to work with! Tucker and his team helped my wife and I to convert some unusable space in our back yard to a large patio area with a fire pit. We were able to collaborate with Nashville Lawn and Order on design ideas prior to Tucker and his team beginning the project. Additionally, Nashville Lawn and Order took our ideas along the way and incorporated them into what is a fantastic finished product. Nashville Lawn and Order is a locally-owned small business that I would be happy to work with again."
4. We Respect Your Budget
This is a big one. Not only do we take note of your design ideas for your project, we work within your budget to make your dream deck or yard come true. If something is out of scope or if material costs have risen, we let you know immediately and aim to give you a workable solution.
Materials have been going up dramatically throughout 2020-2021 and they continue to rise! This is why we guarantee our quotes for 30 days. We also order your materials the very DAY your deposit is paid to ensure we catch the materials at the right time and the right price. We know that many of of clients are splurging on their "dream space" and, especially now with Covid, spending a lot more time at home and outdoors. We want you to get closer to your vision, with usable space, on budget - period!
5. We Provide Walk-Through’s
Now this seems like something so simple, yet we hear about so many other companies missing this important step. Crazy! Yes, we do a walk-through with you during both the estimate process and the final reveal. A walk-through is when our team walks side by side with you around your lawn, deck, or project space to discuss your goals and how we can best accomplish them. Its a time of collaboration and real talk! In this discussion we'll talk about:
What is doable with the space
What is not-doable with the space
What needs repairs
Best maintenance tips
Answer any questions
We are solution-based and want to make sure you are informed throughout the whole process. It is our priority to make sure your landscaping, deck, or patio build is designed to meet your expectations and fits your family’s needs and lifestyle.
6. Work that is Truly Custom - that WOW Factor
We have become quite known for our custom deck and playhouse designs, but what makes us a true top-rated building and landscaping company is our ability to work with any type of request that is related to your backyard.
We know you have a Pinterest board full of ideas on improving your lawn and living situation and we want to make those ideas come to life! Some custom work we have done has included:
A new custom patio and firepit
A custom deck with a slide for the kids
Creation of mulch beds for plants or gardens
But again, don’t just take our word for it. Kate of East Nashville, Tennessee describes her project and working with us:
"I highly recommend Nashville Lawn and Order. They do outstanding work. Before I moved into my home, I needed major yard clean-up. I'm talking trees removed, flower beds cleared, and some ugly bushes trimmed. They did all of these things, surpassed my expectations, and left the area beautiful.”
There ya have it. Just some toots to the old horn.
We hope these testimonials and examples provide a clear picture of the standards and precedents we set as a top rated Nashville company. We honor this position and aim to uphold our integrity as we expand our service areas, teams, and partners.
You should feel good about the team you hire to makeover your yard, deck, or patio. Always make sure the company you go with is licensed, insured, and thoroughly understands your project needs.
